Meet At a Glance, Seattle's easy-to-digest city report card. Distributed on a quarterly basis, At a Glance keeps Seattle's community members educated regarding issues that are current and specific to the city. The publication is dispersed by means of mail with the intention of reaching a broad public audience residing in the city of Seattle. With each issue reporting on a different topic, the information is interchangeable as community members are given an educational platform to better understand the issues unique to their city.
Research
The process behind this project was heavily research-driven as there was a generous level of collaboration between myself and experts on the issue topics. Collecting data, interviewing subjects, and cultivating a sense of individual education regarding the publication themes were essential points of my design process.
Visual Language
Preserving the meaning of the publication's name, At a Glance, the visual language behind the information system was built with the intention of being big, bold, and easy to understand. Each spread is designed with simple infographics that are intended to never overwhelm a reader as accessible and painless education is the end goal.
